Our Vision and Objectives

The first International Sake Challenge was held at the Sheraton Miyako Hotel, Tokyo on Tuesday 24th July 2007. Our primary goal is the development of understanding, awareness, distribution and sales of Sake internationally.
Our judges comprised 15 of the leading Japan Sake experts, and the same number of leading international wine experts. Jointly, they judged the Sakes entered, and awarded Trophy, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals as appropriate.
The results of the competition, and tasting notes of the Award winning sakes, are featured in our International SAKE Challenge website. Our information/education tools will be made available to each Sake brewery entering our competition, in order to support their international sales and marketing.
The International SAKE Challenge has close links to all the leading international wine education bodies and to the principal wine competitions in North America, Asia and Europe.
